The Solar System consists of the SUN and everything that moves around it. This includes the planets, their satellites, asteroids, comets and other objects. The SUN is a star and it emits light and heat. It is the centre of the Solar System.
The planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
Our planet is just a tiny part of the Universe. We cannot measure the Universe because it is so vast, but we know that it is made up of everything around us: livingthings, planets, stars, galaxies, dust and particles.
